Windows requirements
Minimum: Windows 10 64-bit, Intel Core i3-6100 or AMD FX-8350, 4 GB RAM, DirectX 11 graphics with 1 GB VRAM, and 1 GB available storage.
Recommended: Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600, 8 GB RAM, and NVIDIA GTX 1050 or AMD RX 560.
The game will not start
- Restart Steam and launch the game from your Steam Library.
- In Steam, open Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files.
- Install current Windows updates and your GPU driver.
- Temporarily disconnect overlays or controller remapping software to identify conflicts.
Do not download replacement DLL files from third-party websites.
Save data and Steam Cloud
Local saves are stored under %APPDATA%\Moonwrought Bastion\saves. The game writes an automatic backup alongside the current save.
When Steam Cloud is enabled, allow Steam to finish synchronizing before launching on another computer. If Steam presents a conflict, compare the timestamps before choosing a file.
Controller support
The complete flow is designed for controller or keyboard. If a controller is not detected, reconnect it before launch, disable conflicting remappers, and try Steam Input from the game’s Controller settings.
Reporting a reproducible problem
Include your Windows version, CPU, GPU, input device, selected hunter and battlefield, what you expected, what happened, and the shortest known reproduction sequence. Never post account credentials, Steam Guard codes or private save files publicly.
